Sony's CommunityPlace VRML 2.0 browser has some extra features implamented in a PROTO. These features are backface and description. In this section, we will go over these two features.

Looking at the screen shot below, you can get a good idea of what these too features achieve.

o The backface field is a boolean field determining weither or not the browser will render the back side of a face.

o The description field is a string field where you can write either a descrition of the object or hint in a game, etc. This will appear in floating text over the object when the mouse cursor passes over it as long as the user has the Scouter button of the browser turned on.
